TORONTO SPECIAL OLYMPICS

F U N - D - R A I S E R

They came...over two hundred of them...to the Madison Avenue Pub, for the Fun-d-raiser For The Toronto Special Olympics, on Sunday, February 22nd, 2004.

For a mere fifteen dollars...they were entertained, amazed, and hypnotized. They laughed hysterically, they ate hors d'oeuvres, they clapped and sang along, and some even danced!! They bid on great silent auction items, they bought balloon pops for items double the value, and they won lots of door prizes...the Grand Door Prize being a pair of tickets for the Toronto Raptors game on March 7th.

They had fun, and they helped raise much-needed funds...at the Fun-d-raiser For The Toronto Special Olympics. And they have been sending in their feedback...

They may not know this yet, but it has been decided that the Fun-d-raiser For the Toronto Special Olympics will be an annual event!!

The Fun-d-raiser For The Toronto Special Olympics would like to thank Madison Avenue Pub's Management and Staff for their assistance, and for the use of the lovely Mad Balls II Lounge for our event!

The Fun-d-raiser would not have been such a success without our excellent Master of Ceremonies, fantastic Performers, and a terrific Sound/Music DJ who all so kindly donated their time and exceptional talent to put on a superb show...some heeding an appeal for help at the last minute.

TSO Athlete Speakers, thank you so much for sharing with us all a bit about yourselves and the positive impact that the Toronto Special Olympics has had on your lives. If any in the audience weren't aware of the value of this organization before, they certainly were after hearing your words.

We thank the Fun-d-raiser's generous Sponsors for their 'money' donations, especially CIBC for their $5,000.00 donation. We say a big 'thank you' to the Sponsors who donated the many great items for the silent auction, balloon pop, and door prizes.
